There’s an all-natural therapy that MILLIONS of Americans rely on daily.
They don’t just use this stuff… many absolutely SWEAR by it!
So naturally, the mainstream just launched a major new attack on this proven natural superstar.
And you know what?
This might shock you… so you might want to sit down before I tell you.
For once, they’re ABSOLUTELY right!
How to get probiotic supplements that WORK
Georgetown University experts issued a warning that consumers are essentially being conned by probiotics.
Now, anyone who knows me knows that I believe in the health-enhancing powers of good bacteria…
The right probiotic supplement can improve lives and reverse some of today’s leading quality-of-life issues, from digestive disorders to immune function to mood problems.
But Georgetown is exactly right – because in many ways, these supplements have become a victim of their own success.
“Probiotic” has become a meaningless buzzword used to market everything from sugary yogurt drinks to fake butter spreads (including some that may have hidden trans fats).
See, a probiotic isn’t like magnesium or vitamin D. It’s not a single specific nutrient to be delivered in certain amounts.
It refers to an entire range of bacteria… including many that may offer little to no benefit at all.
But consumers often have no way of knowing!
And indeed, the analysis finds that 65 percent of probiotic products made claims on the label that couldn’t be verified by research.
This wasn’t just blind bashing of natural supplements as you might expect; the researchers admit that some strains and claims ARE backed by sound science.
Just not the ones for sale in most supermarkets and vitamin shops!
I agree with them there; I’ve checked the labels – and I’ve found most of them are absolute garbage, often with low-quality strains that have never been proven in human studies.
The reason the claims on the label in those cases aren’t backed by evidence is because that evidence doesn’t exist!
But DON’T let this scare you away from probiotics…
Most people today NEED them, especially given our constant exposure to low-level antibiotics via food (from meats and dairy in particular) and chemicals in water, as well as chemicals that can wreck the balance of bacteria in the gut and diminish your levels of healthy germs.
But DO be a smart consumer about it…
Read labels closely.
Look at the specific strains and amounts.
And get a probiotic formula with bacteria tested in multiple human trials, including essentials such as Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum.
