The TRUE cause of diabetes (HINT: It’s NOT what you eat!)
If you have diabetes, I’ve got some GOOD news for you for a change…
Just about everything you’ve been told about this disease has just been proven false, starting with the biggest doozy of all—one you’ve no doubt heard dozens of times:
It’s all your fault!
“YOU did this,” they’ll claim. “YOU’RE paying the price now for YOUR bad choices.”
I’ve never bought into that line myself.
I know diabetes has another cause… one they DON’T want to discuss. But they HAVE TO talk about it now as a major study exposes the TRUE cause of this disease.
And it’s NOT just “bad” habits!

Now, of course we could all do a little better with diet. And you want to avoid processed foods, which can raise your diabetes risk.
But you could also do everything “right” and still get the disease (or watch it spiral out of control if you have it). Maybe that’s happened to you. Don’t be too hard on yourself; the new study shows it’s not your fault…
See, a class of chemicals called PFAS can raise your risk of diabetes by nearly a FIFTH.
And these aren’t rare chemicals.
They’re all around you… every day… probably even right now. They’re found in non-stick, stain-resistant and water-repellant goods including clothing, food wrappers and furniture.
And while the old “eat right” advice can certainly reverse some of the risk of exposure, the study finds won’t cancel it out completely.
In other words, you can do everything right and still get diabetes – or exactly what I’ve been saying for years now.
But that just scratches the surface.
See, this is just ONE class of chemical linked to diabetes… but there are DOZENS of others, including the:
- METALS such as the mercury in seafood
- DRUGS such as the statins in your medicine chest
- CHEMICALS in plastics such as BPA
They combine into what I call your toxic index. The higher the index, the higher your risk of diabetes, and that’s true no matter how well you eat.
And if you already have the disease, these same toxins will cause it to spiral out of control.
But the OPPOSITE is also true:
- If you can CUT your toxic index, you can avoid the disease if you don’t have it.
